Hair loss treatment service
Male pattern baldness, also called androgenic alopecia is the most common type of hair loss in men. This is caused due the influence testosterone (male hormone). Your consultation will assist you in comprehending the causes of your hair loss, offer suggestions, and, if appropriate, recommend treatment for male pattern hair loss.
- Hair loss has a variety of causes. It may be caused due to infections, illness, or stress which will not improve by this medication.
- About 50% of males over the age of 50 experience male pattern hair loss, which tends to run in families. Please note that we prescribe Finasteride as a treatment.
The study shows that 90% of men who took the medication found their hair loss stopped within 6 to 12 months, and 66% of them experienced hair growth. After stopping medication, hair loss will resume a few months later. Side effects are rare and typically minor. They consist of diminished sex desire, depressed mood, erection issues, or sore nipples. Although reports of breast cancer, depression, and long-term sexual adverse effects have been made, they are incredibly rare.
- If your partner is expecting or likely to get pregnant, use a condom because the drug can be transferred to semen. If this drug is damaged or crushed, it should not be handled by women who may be pregnant.
- Other treatment choices include Minoxidil foam (Regaine), laser therapy, hair transplants, and hairpieces. Of course, there is also the option of not receiving any treatment at all.
It is NOT recommended to take Fintrid if you intend to become pregnant within the next six months.
You should notify your doctor right away if you see any changes in your breast tissue, including lumps, pain, enlargement, or discharge from your nipple, as these could be symptoms of a dangerous disorder like breast cancer.
